DoveLewis offers discounted exams through a combination of third-party financing and the Velvet Assistance Fund (VAF) for families experiencing financial hardship.
How to Get a Discounted Exam
Step 1: Complete Your Application
Complete the financial assistance application and submit all required supporting documentation. You may be asked to provide:
- Proof of household income
- Documentation of government assistance benefits
- Other information needed to verify eligibility
Step 2: Request an Appointment
After submitting your application, you may review available appointment times and request an appointment through DoveLewis.org. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your requested appointment time.
Please note: Selecting an appointment time and paying the required deposit through DoveLewis.org does not confirm your appointment. Your appointment will remain pending until your financial assistance application has been reviewed and approved.
Step 3: Application Review & Appointment Confirmation
Our team will review your application and supporting documentation to determine eligibility. If your application is approved, we will confirm your appointment. If your application is not approved, we will notify you regarding the status of your appointment and any next steps.
Program Fees
If your application is approved:
- Discounted Veterinary Exam:$75
- Humane Euthanasia Exam:$0 (for approved applicants whose pet requires humane euthanasia)
- Please note that additional services, including cremation or aftercare, are not included and may incur separate charges.
